Third party cookies/links??
Wasn't one of the newest updates to Firefox supposed to stop linking to third party advertising such as Facebook? It seems I was waiting for the update to stop so much activity in my internet connections that was accessing some if the sites that were found in ads on webpages. Not sure I am explaining it properly, but I don't see such a function and I just upgraded to V47. Thanks!

Hello and thanks for the reply.
It isn't something I can take a screenshot of I don't think. My question was about Tracking Protection that was supposed to be included in V42: "Part of the latest version of Firefox (v42), Tracking Protection changes that by going one step further and blocking content like ads, analytics trackers and social share buttons that may monitor your behaviour across sites without telling you."
After some research and trial and error - I think I have found how to do it - turning ON private browsing and Tracking Protections does seem to eliminate most of the problem. It doesn't seem to apply to all sites, but does block many of those annoying ads!
I think that for the moment I have found a solution. I wasn't seeing the protection shield in the address bar earlier - but I have figured that out now.
Again, thanks for the help!
