I no longer own the domain name that exists on my Thunderbird installation. I have since bought two more domains. I want to get rid of the old installation and add emails from my new domains. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing changed. I see nothing about this in "Help". Can you help? Gary

From the Menu Bar select File-New-Existing Mail Account

From the AppMenu button select New Message-Existing Mail Account

FYI: your data is in the Profile and is separate from the program. Other than keeping you busy for a little while reinstalling is wasting your time.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird is just removing and putting back the Thunderbird program. It has nothing to do with adding existing mail accounts.

First make sure you have accessed the webmail account and selected to use either imap or pop.

'Menu icon' > 'New Message' > 'Exisitng Mail account'

Enter name Enter email address Enter password - the one you use to access webmail account click on 'Continue' button

Thunderbird tries to configure settings. It is likely it will not locate settings as this is your domain. click on 'Manual config' button Make sure you select the correct type of mail acocunt - POP or IMAP Enter the incoming and outgoing server names. Select appropriate server settings. UserName is usually full email address. Use 'Retest' button Once all is ok click on 'Done' to create the mail account in Thunderbird.

Then check all your Account Settings to make sure each is set up correctly.
