How do i disable sound/popup notifications from All Mail?

more options

I use Gmail in Thunderbird and my would like my "Important" mail folder to play sounds/popups when there is an incoming email, but I only want this to happen with the Important folder. I don't use 'All Mail' at all but I still get notifications from it, which is very annoying.

I think that you don't need to subscribe to All Mail.

What do you mean? How do i unsubscribe?

Okay, I figured out how to 'Unsubscribe', had to go into Gmail/Labels and uncheck 'Show in IMAP' next to All Mail.

I am now wondering if there is a way to remove the All Mail folder in Thunderbird (30,000 emails), without losing all my mail? It seems to be taking up 3GB of hard drive space :(

Oh goodness I didn't realize there was an actual subcribe button. I re-checked 'Show in IMAP' on Gmail and did what you said. This is good news, thank you :)
