Right click window misbehaves
1.Right click + Open link in new tab = nothing Works for some sites (YouTube) but not on the majority of those I visit. Middle click does the trick but I want the right click option to be functional as well. 2.Also right click misbehaves in different ways, sometimes right click on a link opens a huge window with way to many options (even play/stop/mute options) instead of the normal one (with 14 +/- options). 3.It doesn't allow me to copy the selected text, I have to do that via keyboard (Ctrl + c).
Same results on "Safe Mode" with add ons disabled. Any suggestions?
Everything worked amazingly on previous version, these problems emerged after the upgrade to version 48. [Linux Mint 18 64bit on a Thinkpad laptop, used update manager for the upgrade]

Changed the value in about:config of distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale from "data:text/plain,distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale=en-US" to "en=US" and it works like a charm.
Thank you!
No can find "distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale" in about:config in Firefox 49.0.1
The Add:on Right Links has only recently stopped working so I suspect a Firefox update is the culprit! I now get a pop-up window with a raft of options when I right-click on a link, whereas before it just automagically opened the link in a new tab. Can someone please look into this.
