Hello guys,

I have a problem with a user, who wants to upload a file on a website. The funny thing is, that it only crashes when shes using the scroll wheel in the explorer. If shes typing the direct path of the file to the address field, it works fine. I added an error code from the about:crashes page. I tried to start Firefox in save mode and also reinstalled the whole browser on the computer. We also tried another browser like Internet Explorer but it also crashes/freezes during the search for the file in the explorer. If the user goes to another PC and logs in with his domain account it works fine.

...The easiest way for me would be to reinstall the PC, but the user would need to do a lot of config stuff, so this is no possibility.

Thank you,

Michael

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Make sure that all software in the system is up to date.

If there is a problem when using another browser, the problem is likely in the system.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?

Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Thank you for your support!

I already updated the flash player to the newest version... but the problem persists. Here are the latest crash IDs from the workstation. bp-4e63fd6c-e69e-4940-b11e-6fd612160815 bp-56b1829d-e05b-4161-aa24-82c2d2160815 bp-1564dd08-200d-4141-b892-091422160815 bp-66956660-daf5-4fc6-8b2a-37c8c2160815 b3a0038f-bcd6-449c-b105-777275c799bb dfe77644-82dd-4588-ae68-832833e589a2

The next steps that I will do: - Start the PC in save mode and look if the problem is still there - Update the graphics driver for the PC - Try another flash version

As I said the problem only occurs on this website if the user is forced to upload a file, and than only if he uses the scroll wheel to navigate in the explorer.... its really strange
