This addon keeps dropping the list of Yahoo Email accounts to monitor. At random times the addon directs me to some X-Notifier page where I think they want a contribution.

If it worked I might consider that.

Chosen solution

Maybe look at one of the other notifier extensions to see if you find one that works better.

Ever heard of demanding developer support for allowing their products on your site ?

Note that this is a legacy extension that will stop working later this year when Firefox 57 gets released and only WebExtensions will be supported, so it is not guaranteed that the developer will still spend time to fix all issues.

OK, I will avoid new Firefox updates and stay with current version.

This will happen when Firefox 57 is the current release, so you can still update to Firefox 55 and 56. If you still need support for legacy extensions then you can switch to the Firefox ESR update channel.
