Is there a way to access my bookmarks sidebar in one click? IE without the need to select from history and synced tabs.

I have the "show side bars", square box with a line through it, on my menu bar; I would like the bookmarks sidebar to pop up when I click it.

I don't think there is a button for that. The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+b will open the Bookmarks Sidebar (assuming the page doesn't intercept and re-purpose it, for example, to bold some text).

By the way, the bookmarks menu button on the toolbar (the one that looks a bit like a clipboard, to the right of the star), drops a menu where the top item is "View Bookmarks Sidebar". Is that any faster than using the Sidebars button?

Maybe create a bookmark on the Bookmarks Toolbar that has a checkmark to open this chrome URI:

  • chrome://browser/content/bookmarks/bookmarksPanel.xul

Make sure "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is selected.
