Firefox arbitrarily installed their new, updated, reworked version without my permission. It screwed up a toolbar and totally messed up my bookmarks. Is it possible to go back to the old version?

I should not have to do anything. Firefox put the new version there, they can just take it back and restore my bookmarks

hi, in the firefox quantum default layout the combined library icon for bookmarks/history/downloads...) is replacing your bookmarks button that you're used to - when you go into customization mode, you can place the dedicated bookmarks button back onto the toolbar though ;-)
