I am using Thunderbird version 52.5.0 (32 bit) on Windows 10 When I send a group email using Thunderbird (68 members) gmail blocks the email. Everyone of the 68 emails is blocked and comes back "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)". I then set up a g suite account and the same thing happens when using Thunderbird. If I use gmail web browser it sends just fine. It appears to be caused by Thunderbird. I would really like to continue using Thunderbird but I see no workaround other than stop using Thunderbird.

Also attached is the g suite server settings. https://www.dropbox.com/s/d4o5mxldf27q3xp/MessageBlockedSettingIncoming.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/qmv88bzdr0p98lo/MessageBlockedSettingOutgoing.png?dl=0

I have discussed the problem with google support for an hour and a half and have the settings and eventually found settings that worked for a few days.

So, what is a "group mail"? Thunderbird itself (at least in the English language version I use) doesn't use this terminology, so we are left guessing what you mean by it.

Mailing List? Or just a lot of addresses inserted into one message?

What I meant by group email is a mailing list. One message sent to many users.

I'm presuming you have created a 'Mailing List' as per info here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-create-and-use-mailing-lists-thunderbird

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Create_Mailing_List Sending limits Email providers typically impose a hourly and/or daily send limit based on either how many messages you send, or the total number of recipients. If you send 2 messages to 5 recipients that would count as 10 recipients. Gmail has a much lower sending limit for a email client than webmail, and will temporarily suspend an account if it exceeds the sending limit.

It would seem you are not alone with this issue:

Are you sending the 'Message List' using Bcc? Do you have at least one email address using a TO field, even if it is your own email address?
