Thunderbird address book import does not seem to recognize a .vcf address book file from Win Live export

WIN Live Mail (WIN 7) Export function creates a .vcf address book file (v-card file) with over 800 .vcf address cards, but the import function on Thunderbird only seems to recognize a single .vcf address card at a time. It just does not allow you to accept and process all card in the file.
