Secure Connection Failed Error Message - cannot change permissions

more options

A website I am trying to access creates the error message Secure Connection Failed. I have clicked on the "i" button to try and change permissions but there is no link from there. The only way to access this particular website was by using a different browser (Chrome). How do I access Permissions with Firefox?

Hi Aggers, unfortunately the "Secure Connection Failed" page doesn't always have enough information to understand the source of the problem. It's probably not an issue with permissions, since permissions are applied after a connection is successfully made.

Does anything in this article help: Secure connection failed and Firefox did not connect.

The problem is that the usual Permissions option never appears. I WANT to use the site. It is the local newspaper. And, it works in CHROME. Apparently Mozilla has no answer to the problem since the only response is that there is no solution.

I dislike Chrome BUT after many years of using Firefox incompetence has taken its toll and I must switch. I am very upset to see such a fine product mis-managed.

Hi boleyd, it would be best to start your own thread if you want help, since this one was already marked solved. You could share the address you're having problems with to see whether volunteers notice anything special about it.
