I cannot access the comments with firefox on the ny magazine web site. This just started a week or two ago. I have ublock ad blocker, which I disabled. I uninstalled ublock and installed adblock plus and then uninstalled it. None of this gave me access to the comments. It must be firefox because I can access them on MS IE and my ipad.

Can anyone help?

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thanks, Fred. But I've traced the problem to firefox, which has - all of a sudden - decided the website is unsafe - the same web site I've visited for years now. Possibly firefox has changed something recently or maybe the site has changed something. However, I can still access it through MS Edge and ios, so have to think about whether I want to keep firefox as my browser.

Did you try Safe Mode?

Firefox 42+ has a Tracking Protection feature that is enabled by default in Private Browsing mode. Firefox shows a shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case content is blocked by Tracking Protection, click the shield icon for more information.

You can disable this feature in "Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security" or via the about:privatebrowsing page that get when you open a New Private Window.
