update to 52.7 failed, installed over existing satisfactory but message remains have I got to do a clean install or is there a way to remove failure message

Installed over existing to retain settings and messages, assume it also retained "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Thunderbird running on your computer, and then restart Thunderbird to try again." can this be deleted

generally I just click ok on that when it appears. and it does occasionally. Then I do a reinstall to be sure I got the new version.
