When inviting attendees from Firefox Calendar (by the email it sends), which platforms/programmes are able to accept the received invitation ?

So I know that if I send an invitation from the Firefox calendar to others, it is sent as an attachment to an email. I also know that if I send such an invite to myself and open it on my iPhone, I can accept that invite. Not everyone has a mobile and they are not all iOS. That are also not all running the same calendar programmes. Does anybody know if the invite sent can be widely accepted by recipients operating systems/calendars? Is there a list of exclusions?

Many thanks

Chosen solution

Thunderbird sends a standard ICS invite. ALL calendars I am aware of can process them.

Sorry, this applies to invites sent from Thunderbird’s inbuilt calendar (not Firefox)

Many thanks, I thought this might be the case but was unsure. Thanks for your help.
