How can I edit out incorrect stored usernames (and passwords) that aren't stored in the "Remember logins and passwords for websites" section

I thought I had to pose my question in a single sentence, so that sentence pretty much says it all: "How can I edit out incorrect stored usernames (and passwords) that aren't stored in the 'Remember logins and passwords for websites' section?"

I get into situations where Firefox displays a pulldown list of memorized login names or passwords, and some of them are just typing errors that got stored. I don't see them in the 'Remember logins and passwords for websites' section, and am wondering if there's another area I could edit to remove these erroneous entries.

Hello etnier,

Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list. Then highlight an entry in the drop-down list using the cursor Down key (arrow key)

(Don't click the mouse and don't press Enter)

Press the Delete key (on Mac  : Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry. Repeat till only the correct username is left. (Don't click the mouse and don't press Enter)

(Hovering with the mouse no longer works)

'Hope that works for you  !

Thanks! A bit clumsy to make work, but work it does. Much appreciated!

My pleasure - I agree with you (about the 'clumsiness'), but you soon get the hang of it ......
