When I want to print a web page or copy a picture in an email in gmail in Firefox, the "simplify page" is grayed out and it prints only part of the page. How do put simplify page as a default?

Chosen solution

I think that simplify page uses the Reader feature, so this is only available when the page shows the reader icon on the location/address bar. A page need to meet specific conditions to allow reader mode. If the page isn't printed properly then other things might go wrong.
