How to view new filtered messages from different folders in one place? I cannot find a way of finding new messages if they have been automatically filtered away from the unified inbox folders to another folder. Is there a way, as some other mail apps do, to create smart folders / "today's new mail" folder?

Chosen solution

Try this: File/New/Saved Search... (or AppMenu/New Message/Saved Search), add the folders you wish to include, and set the criterion to Status + is + New, plus add any other rules you wish, e.g. Age in Days + is less than + 1.
