How to prevent Thunderbird's "Failed to connect to server" popups when offline?
When going offline, Thunderbird shows a popup saying "Failed to connect to server X" each time it tries to connect to a server. How can I fix this behaviour? The "work offline" box is automatically checked when I go offline.

go offline in Thunderbird before you actually take the device offline. (Little blue monitor icons in the bottom left of the status bar.)

Thank you Matt. Actually, I can also go offline in Thunderbird after taking my device offline. Even if the box is checked, I can click it to "really" make Thunderbird work offline: it asks me if I want to download my messages and if I reopen the menu, the box is checked and the other buttons are deactivated (they are not when the button is automatically checked by Thunderbird).
