My Firefox privacy preferences tell me that "stored cookies, site data, and cache are currently using 1.0 GB of disk space", but when I click on "Manage Data", no sites are listed. I have also always had the "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" checked. What then explains the 1.0 GB of disk space?

Thanks.

Chosen solution

This could be about the disk cache.

Did you look under "Clear Data" what data is reported for the cache and what data for cookies?
