Bookmarks are backed up, but history is not.

Fred, then how do the police search a persons computer to see what sites and so on they go on and make comments? I'm just wondering what websites one of my grandkids go on and what he says on those websites? He deletes his history everytime. Do you work for Mozilla? If not, do you know their email address or phone number? I would think there's someway to do this.

Did you learn that from TV shows? If the history is removed, it is gone. There are computer experts that can sometimes find deleted files.

Note that if your grand kid knows about Private Browsing mode then there would be no need to clear the history because nothing is saved in the profile folder.

You would have to use a network logging application at the OS level to be able to monitor internet traffic.
