Note that this only applies to the Top Sites and Highlights on new tab page:

Type or paste in the address bar   about:config  and press Enter. (if you see a warning: ignore it)

Type or paste in the search bar : browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.filterAdult   and set its value to  false

You may have an add-on that is doing that. But it could also be the computer's settings or a 3rd party program.

Thank you all, but I still can't figure out how to do it. I am 81 years old and a computer dunce.

The older ones gets, the more one knows; wisdom comes with age (or so they say). But age of course doesn't mean a thing; it says nothing about a person's experience, schooling etc..

Take all the time you need to go over the article and change the value of the preference on the about:config page. Any questions you may have:   feel free to ask.

Edit: I just thought of something:   do you maybe have a friend, a family-member or a friendly neighbour who could take a look at this thread and show you how to do it (or do it for you) ?
