I have 3 browser windows open and windows task manager says its using over 500mb of memory. All 3 browsers are on the FIREFOX/MOZILLA site......I would think at the very least your own site would run fast in your own browser.

In your opinion, how much total memory Firefox should use to be considered fast?

2nd question: Why is memory not a correct factor to measure speed?

I have 1 firefox browser open to respond to this and its at 340 mb which Windows marks as medium high. I have 1 edge browser open to update stuff in wordpress and that is at 180 mb. BUT I regularly see firefox go as high as 1024 mb for 1 or 2 windows. And it regularly is so high that it freezes my screen.

To your 2nd question.....it doesn't matter. Its opening FIREFOX that causes my computer to run slow. Not edge or other programs. Everything is fine BEFORE I open FIREFOX.
