Starting this morning, my comcast.net emails are not downloading into my Win 10 T-Bird inbox. When I hit 'Get Messages' a popup shows there are 15 in the queue, but all I get, repeatedly, is a single ad message from Spotify that I've deleted over and over. I have run 'repair folder' on the inbox, but it doesn't change anything. The missing messages are all sitting in my comcast.net email inbox. What's going on, anybody know? Many thanks.

Chosen solution

Try opening your comcast account in their web page and emptying the spam and trash folders. The real cause is your anti virus. But emptying the spam and trash folders usually removes the malformed email that causes it to lock the download session until it times out and starts again.
