As IE11 heads towards the sunset my company is looking to switch to FireFox as a solution. There are multiple applications that we use internally that require the selection of a certificate to proceed into the system. In IE we make this process easy for users by changing the "Friendly Name" option in the certificate properties of IE. The result is that when the certificate choices come up it looks like:

Joe's HR Cert Shipping & Receiving Cert Joe's Email Cert

When we use Firefox all we can see is the cert number/serial number. We would like to be able to define a "Friendly Name" to eliminate confusion and keep the current productivity levels

Can this be done in FireFox and How?

No, you can't use it in Firefox.
