PASSWORD AUTO-FILL
When I login to one site (YAHOO), the correct ID/password are inserted and the login is successful. When I go to the menu panel/passwords, the password for the site is different. It is only one character different, but it would not allow for a login. The menu panel password is probably older and perhaps the Lockwise discontinuation is an issue, but there seems to be no relation between the passwords in the login procedure and the menu panel. I cannot find where the login procedure password is stored, but it works. This is confusing, but I cannot find an answer in any of the Firefox password manager papers. I am up to date with Firefox 101.0 (64 bit) for Windows 10.

Hi GORDON C, Is there more than one login stored for Yahoo? Like "accounts.Yahoo" and then "Yahoo.accounts" Sites sometimes change their logins and you might be looking at an old one.
I have 3 logins listed for YAHOO – all login.yahoo.com. There are 3 user id’s – email all caps, email all lower case, an no name. I am pretty sure that yesterday all 3 had the wrong password. The only difference between the right and wrong password is whether or not the first character is cap or lower case. This morning I find that the email all caps id has the correct password. The other 2 have the wrong password. However, when I logon, which ever I use it reverts to the correct id/password and the logon is successful. I have 2 desktop computers on a network, and they are synced for passwords etc. As far as I remember, yesterday both had the problem as originally described. At this point, the problem solution is to just remove the 2 bad logins even though they seem to have no effect. However I still don’t understand the issue, and that always bothers me. I would appreciate any incite you can offer. Thanks for your help.
You can check the passwords in the Firefox Password Manager and possibly remove or edit an incorrect password.
Suggestions in a login drop down list that have a key icon in front are login suggestions that you need to remove in the Password Manager.
Suggestions in a drop down list without a key symbol are autocomplete saved form data. Suggestions without a key icon are part of autocomplete saved form data that you should be able to remove by selecting this item with the cursor Down key and pressing Delete (Mac: Shift+Delete).
It's always a good idea to disconnect from Sync before editing any Synced data.
