I have set up my new laptop using migration but on my new device Firefox did not transfer bookmarks/passwords. Apple Support believes this is an issue for Mozilla. Please help!

Ironically my old device just crashed, I have to take it in on Monday. I was on the phone w/ Apple and they walked me though a few steps on the new device and the tech thought that the information had transferred over ("it looks like it is there") but was unable to direct me on how to access it from the Firefox "Troubleshooting Information" page.

Firefox uses two locations for the Firefox profile folder. One location for your personal data (e.g. bookmarks) and another location for temporary files like the disk cache, so make sure to look in the correct location.

Location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data (Root Directory on about:profiles).

  • ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile>

In Mac OS X v10.7 and later, the "~/Library" folder in the Home directory is a hidden folder.
