I have 2 yahoo email accounts. 1 on Chrome & "block Spam" works but on FF it does not. The same fake emails keep coming back and I can't add a screenshot to this.

Wrong answer. When I use my yahoo email on Chrome platform the "SPAM" option works and filters recurring emails but does not work when I am on FF platform. Fact.

Sorry, I don't know why that would be. I hardly use a yahoo account these days but yahoo filters used to work on Firefox. If your displayed user name is in fact your email account, that may account for at least some spam you are getting; I suggest you change the displayed name on this forum.

Spam filter does not work reliably.

This has been a problem for at least 6-8 months now. I tried the suggested fix, which was to completely reset the Spam Filter. This has not made any difference whatsoever.

There are at least 10 or more instances where after I mark an address as SPAM, it keeps coming back instead of ending up in the spam folder automatically. I keep labeling as SPAM but it still is not put in the SPAM folder.

I thought perhaps the e-mail address was changed to avoid correct detection but that is wrong. The sender's email has not changed. This happens with individual e-mail senders, ordinary people, and with institutional e-mails.

Prior to as I said 6-8 months ago, possibly a year, the SPAM filter worked perfectly.

I suspect some upgrade inadvertently messed up the SPAM filter, and it was never corrected. It really needs to be fixed.

Thanks,

Dan
