Yahoo mail message options, like Reply, Move, get stuck often until cookies are cleared

Starting with Firefox 113 (on Debian Linux), every few days Yahoo mail stops working properly: I can read emails but hitting any action of them, like Reply, Move, Delete, does nothing at all.

I need to clear cookies to get this operational again. This doesn't happen on chrome on the same computer.

The only add on I have is an adblocker, disabled for yahoo mail. This problem also happens with enhanced tracker protection turned off.

Still happening with Firefox 114.

Possibly only starts after switching between different yahoo mail accounts

I have no issues with Yahoo. I was able to compose and send myself an email. see screenshot Did you try Firefox in Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#search104

I've cleared cookies for yahoo and it works but only until I switch yahoo accounts, then the problem recurs.

This problem (for firefox 113 and 114) is only if you have multiple yahoo mail accounts and switch between them. It doesn't happen if you limit yourself to just one yahoo mail account.

I've just reconfirmed this just now with firefox 114.

Switch yahoo accounts... I only have 1 account, but let me create another for S&Gs to see what happens. In the mean time, how about trying with Firefox from Mozilla. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Thanks, but I would rather live with this issue, handling yahoo mail via chromium, than bypass the debian package system with a direct install.

So far, seems to work fine as long a I stay in a single yahoo account.

Seems fixed with firefox 115.0: I was able to switch between yahoo email accounts and select different emails without entering them (a symptom of the problem). Also no problem moving/deleting emails.

Update 07/08/2023: my mistake, works better than before but the problem does recur after a few days.

Happens worse than ever with new Firefox 116.0: even clearing tmp files doesn't help.

Has made Firefox useless for Yahoo mail since version 113.

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Fixed in Firefox 117.0 for Debian
