AOL on Firefox no longer allows me to type a double 'f'. On-and-Off becomes On-and O for example. The first 'f' appears. The second 'f' erases both! Even names in my Contacts such as Deardorff now appear as Deardor when typed into an email. This happens only on Firefox (not on Safari or AOL app). On any/all fonts. Help!

Could be a problem with ligatures. Does this also happen in your question or do you see the double ff (f f) here ?

What do you see here (scroll down to Result)?

I am able to type a "FF" here. Jeff. Waffle. Off. But, this is impossible in composing an AOL email.

The answer regarding font-variant-ligatures is beyond my comprehension. Can one change, or turn on-off these ligatures? If so, where and how?

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear about the keyboard issue you're experiencing with Firefox. It seems like AOL on Firefox might have a problem with ligatures, which are special character combinations like "ff." You can try troubleshooting the issue by following these steps: First, check if this happens in Troubleshoot Mode. If the problem persists, you can try adjusting the font-variant-ligatures settings. To do that, type "about:config" in the address bar, accept the warning, and then search for "font-variant-ligatures." Double-click on the preference name to toggle its value between true and false. Hopefully, this will help you fix the problem and type "ff" in AOL emails without any issues.
