Latest Nebula update

I just downloaded the latest Thunderbird version, but the design looks nothing like advertised on the picture in the website. I really want to have the newest features and design, but mine still looks like the very old, basic design. What can I do to update this? I have checked for any newer updates and it shows that my app is up to date.

I'm not sure what you are wanting to achieve but if you are after the Cards View rather than Table click the icon I've highlighted below.

Other things could be being held by your settings or extensions. To find out restart in Troubleshoot Mode. To do that press Alt-h and then Troubleshoot Mode on the drop-down menu that appears. That will temporarily disable extensions and most of your personal settings. If you then get what you want you can start fiddling about.
