Does that entry have a yellow star? If it has then it is a bookmark.

Yahoo lets you delete your entire browsing history, so you don't have to remember to do it every day. What's up with Firefox not giving that option?

Sorry to have bothered here. It's just that Firefox makes you jump through hoops to delete your entire browsing history. I figured that out by going into the Options and changing the very high number of days (something like 90, as I recall) that they keep stuff on, down to 1, and also telling it to delete my history every time I log off. Hope this helps others.
