I have another kind of problem with Firefox

Description

Whenever I click on a saved URL on my MBP OSX 10.6.4 desktop, Firefox opens two browser windows. I have tried every combination of settings under Firefox ->Preferences ->tabs - nothing stops this behavior

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Immediately after installing Firefox on my Macbook Pro w/ OSX 10.6.4
