Hi! I have recently acquired a Mac, but I'm unable to read Tamil websites using Firefox, as I only get dotted circle like figures instead of letters. I have tried to change a few things going to Preferences, but it doesn't work. Could someone help please?

I have installed all the fonts that I could find and tried to change options from preferences and all (character encoding : auto, user-defined, unicode, etc.) , but nothing seems to work. I used to have no trouble with windows. Concerned websites : www.dinamalar.com , www.vikatan.com , www.kumudam.com , www.thatstamil.oneindia.com , well, basically every Tamil site that I use. Strangely some telugu sites have no trouble at all with these font issues.

You can try to restart the Font server.
See http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1461325 - snow leopard fonts (restart the font server)
