On both my Win7 64-bit laptop and desktop computers, FF is having a problem with Yahoo! Games. For example, selecting the online version of Text Twist will open a new window correctly, show Java loading and get to the start splash screen of the game. I can activate a new game and start playing but typically within a few seconds the game screen/window area will go blank to black.

I have not been able to replicate this problem on my older computers running 32-bit XP SP3, or on my netbook running the same version of XP; it only happens on my Win7 rigs. Whether it's Win7 or it's due to it being a 64-bit OS I don't know, since I don't have a 32-bit version of Win7 to compare it to.

This problem was not always the case with the Dell; early on Yahoo! Games worked fine (at least the titles I usually played). It wasn't until a Java update happened earlier in 2010 (exact release version unknown; approx. happened in the spring, best of my recollection) that the blank game issue started. Part of the problem with tying down the Java release and time frame is that I'm an infrequent user of Yahoo! Games.

As with the Toshiba: similar pattern. SOOTB Yahoo! Games worked fine (I tested it right away because of my problems on the Dell); then Java was updated and now the same symptom of blanking-out game screen occurs on the new laptop.

I had the same problem, also with Text Twist on other game sites, BUT I found one that works fine with Firefox.
