I unable to navigate on Firefox because I keep getting this error message:" A script on this page, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now or you can continue to see if the script will complete". What do I need to do to stop getting this message? Also, when I try to navigate on the Firefox homepage, support pages.......etc.c. On the tab there is always a circle of dots with "loading" next to it. Sometimes it's moving and sometimes it doesn't. Both the issues I am having causes me not to be able to navigate and at the top of the scream, in the top left hand corner it says"Not Responding". Can someone please help, I've also tried uninstalling Firefox and re-installing, but that did not help. It also, loads slow.

Hello TikelaM,

This problem could probably be caused by a Firefox extension.

To make sure that no extension is causing the problems:

Cheers,

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
