I can't open any new tabs anymore, not with ctrl+T or tapping the + on the tab. Can you please help me?

Chosen solution

Caused by the Ask Toolbar extension in Firefox 3.6.13, disable that extension or un-install it.

Disabling ask toolbar extension didn't work for me.
