How can I set firefox to boot in 32bit mode by default? some media sites always require a reboot.

Several of the latest ondemand media sites, esp from comcast always require that I reboot in 32 bit mode, but I am unable to locate a preference setting to force this before hand.

  1. Close Firefox
  2. Open the Applications folder in Finder
  3. Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
  4. Select "Get Info"
  5. Select or Deselect "Open in 32-bit mode"
  6. Close the "Firefox Info" window
  7. Restart Firefox

I have a mac and followed the directions but DON'T see anywhere that offers 32 bit at all. What now?

I am trying to use the garmin plug in to download stuff to my GPS and it has to start in 32bit mode to do this apparently. This is only a new issue since the upgrade of firefox.
