Firefox creates a profile folder that contains your cookies and history in a file named places.sqlite. You can copy over your entire old places database, but this will remove any bookmarks and history you have added since you started running on your new hard drive.

To import just the bookmarks, check out the "Choose File..." option in the restoration section of: Backing up and restoring bookmarks | How to | Firefox Help. Does that work?

Oh, to locate your profile folder on your old PC, consult this article: Profiles | How to | Firefox Help.

I think you need one of these: USB to HD connector

Then follow jscher2000's instructions to access your Profile and retrieve your bookmarks etc.
