There are only 3 files in my Drafts folder. However, when I try to save something new to the drafts folder, I get the error message that the folder is full. Why? What do I do?

What I have said above is the whole story. Almost! In fact, now that I've once tried to save a file to a near empty Drafts folder, even when I'm in the middle of typing a new email the error message that the drafts folder is full so the message can't be saved pops up. So not only can I NOT save a message as a draft, but the problem is now intruding more generally into my typing emails.
