I thought my MAC could handle thenew Firefox and I downloaded it. It replaced the one I had and I got the message that OS10 couldn't use this new version. Now, no Firefox at all! Help
I have MAC OS X 10.4.11 and downloaded the FireFox 7. It replaced my old version but I cannot run it on 10.4.11. Now I have NO FireFox and I prefer it to Safari. What can I do to get the old version back?
Chosen solution
Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
You are unfortunately out of luck with an Intel Mac and OS X 10.4.11
Best would be to update to OS X 10.5 or later if you want to use Firefox 4 and later versions (current is 7.0.1).
There is a Firefox 7 compatible third-party version TenFourFox from www.floodgap.com for a PowerPC Mac, but no alternative for an Intel Mac with Mac OS X 10.4.
Firefox 3.6.x (Mac OS X 10.4 and later) can be found here:

Thanks...got what I wanted...downloaded the old version I had been using very happily. It was replaced with the new one that I couldn't use. Thanks a million.
You're welcome
Thanks for posting the link to the old version of firefox. I was able to download and install it and go back to using firefox.
