after I downloaded the latest version, My computer slowed tremendously and I was unable to access the internet from the wireless places I have always used with no problem. So I uninstalled the firefox program and now cannot find the run application to re-install the older version? I like firefox alot before this mess.

Upon updating FF many AntiVirus ToolBars/Add ons conflict with newer version of Firefox. Several Free AV vendors do not updated their browser extension before Firefox releases an update, even though they have plenty of time due to Alpha/Beta releases of Firefox.

Several of those AntiVirus (AV) add-ons run all of your webtraffic through a proxy (ie WebGuard) so that it can scan for harmful items. This can often slow down your web browsing, special if those Add-ons are outdate and are not working properly with the new Firefox release

Try installing Firefox 10, and running it in safemode, this way no extensions are installed

If that still doesn't work, you can locate Archived versions of Firefox Here
