You need to have Javascript enabled in order to use the newest version of Yahoo! Mail, but box is checked saying it is turned on.

To be able to use Yahoo new email format, it says that my Javascript needs to be enabled. When looking into Tools, my Javascript box is checked .. but still get error message when trying to update my Yahoo Email to there newest version.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
