I have upgraded to 11.0 I can't get the upgrade to install.
I have downloaded the 11.0 update. When I try to copy the app into my Applications folder, I get this message:
The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again.
I have no clue what any of that means. All I know is that I cannot use Firefox on my computer as a result. The old version is gone.
Chosen solution
I solved the problem. When prompted whether to "replace" my old Firefox or keep both the new and the old, I tried choosing the latter. That enabled me to put the new app in the Application folder. I then deleted the old version . Problem solved.

Try re-launch the Finder or reboot the system.
thank you
Doesn't help. I no longer have any Firefox on my computer. I'm now using Safari. The downloads from the update have even disappeared. This is really upsetting because I really don't like Safari.
see some ways to relaunch Finder:

and try download and install firefox again from:

thanks again
I've done everything you have suggested and keep getting the same message. I can't get the app into the App folder.
