Are we EXPECTED to tolerate the new GENIEO feature added to Mozilla-Yahoo? I don't and I won't. It took me weeks to uninstall GENIEO (the parasite) from my PC. And I will do it again by uninstalling Mozilla for good.

ATTN: Mozilla

Remove and ban GENIEO from your browser functions immediately or know that the consumer ill-will generated by the GENIEO feature will indeed be measured in dollars... the dollars of lost brand loyalty.

Genieo is not part of Firefox. We don't have anything to with it. Here are the instructions from their site for getting rid of it http://www.genieo.com/faq/#q20

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. On Windows 7 - choose “Uninstall a program”. On Windows XP - choose “Add/Remove Programs”.
  3. Select the “Genieo” entry from the list of installed programs and click the “Uninstall” button.
  4. If from any reason the uninstall does not work please download and run the following file.

After following those instructions, I recommend installing this add-on which will quickly reset your home page and search preferences back to the Firefox defaults. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/
