Although i checked the option to load tabs only when selected (in extras>preferences>general), firefox refreshes multiple tabs when i reopen my session. Why?

That's about it. I see this, because of the refresh-icon a tab displays while refreshing.

Is that when you restore the tabs automatically via "Show my windows and tabs from last time" or when you use "Restore Previous Session" or click the button on the about:home page?

Are you clearing the cache when you close Firefox?

Thanks for your reply. I'm using the "Show my windows and tabs from last time"-option, not restore previous session". I dont clear the cache upon closing.

I rethought my problem, maybe it has to do with the way I use my computer. Mostly I only hibernate . The times i use the actual shutdown option are very seldom. Because of that I technically never close firefox, but use it in a continuous session, thus not really using the 'show windows&tabs from last time'... Maybe that has something to do with the phenomenon i noticed?
