I'm running win 7 64 bit and have been using download helper for several years. It is up to date.ver 4.9.9 Suddenly, when I choose download a video, it seems to work sudden flashes on screen to include the default setting to convert flv to mp4, but the downloaded file is tiny and does NOT work. it remains in flv format and the "failed to conv" is added to the file name

If you right-click the Downloadhelper icon and choose Media, you should see a list of files you can download. Do you get that? If so, you could at least download the video. Quite often I am given a choice of downloading as either .mp4 or .flv.

No, that media choice was there I chose it but there was a flash and it downloaded 1,.78MG (no way in that time with my connection speed) and it added that failedconv to the file name

OK, I see the difference. The file now shows in the "firefox download" window. It never did before, it went directly to "My videos". That is the PROBLEM. What is the fix?
