FF is worse with the latest update 13.0.1. It uses too much RAM, page scrolling is much slower and YouTube vids stall while playing. Is this a paradox?

Problems with slow scrolling can be caused by smooth scrolling that has been enabled by default in Firefox 13

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General: Browsing: "Use smooth scrolling"

  • Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
  • Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.
