Often plugins will capture keystrokes so that you can't use Ctrl+t after clicking in the plugin. Usually, you can escape the plugin by clicking on the page outside the plugin, but there have been some reports in recent months that the keystrokes still went to the plugin (especially reported with Flash). Is that what you were experiencing? Or did it also affect other methods of opening a new tab, such as the menu?

Sorry I made a mistake about Firefox 14.01 problem with Adobe Flash Player 11.3. Both are working fine together after removing "Foxit Reader Plugin" TQ for your reply jscher2000

Wrong again. Crash is not because of "Foxit Reader Plugin". Its because I didn't update Internet Explorer 8 's Adobe Flash Player Active X version 11.2.202.235 to 11.3.300.265 Now, Firefox 14.01 and Internet Explorer 8.0 has the same Adobe Flash Player version number =11.3.300.265. Also, I enable "Foxit reader Plugin" in Firefox 14.01 and is working fine. Will somebody notify Support Team, why the need to update Internet Explorer's Adobe Flash Player when one is not using it ?

Above work for 1 day and failed the next day ?

Currently to resolve the problem, I de-select MENU BAR, just select NAVIGATION TOOL BAR only.

Now, able to open in New Tab from Bookmark

So far so good. Problem resolved. Those who have same problem of opening in New Tab, can try to de-select MENU bar. Add-on and plug-ins are not the cause of opening New Tab problem.

Cheers...

If you keep having problems then try a new profile.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
