I am connected to a intrAnet and we are using a proxy to connect to internet. I am trying to access an application hosted on intranet via firefox using the proxy setting but I get an error message that connection to the server has been refused.Again, I tried accessing the same application but without using proxy setting(selecting the "NO PROXY" radio button) this time I can ACCESS the application but I can not access the internet this time. On Internet explorer I have same proxy settings but only difference is , there is a check box "bypass all local address" and it is selected and everything is working fine on IE. I tried adding the application IP address in "NO PROXY FOR" box, but still the problem continues.

Which proxy settings have you tried in Firefox? Does "Use system proxy settings" let you take advantage of how you set up your proxy for IE?

Hi jscher2000

Thank you for your interest.

I am using "manual prxoy configuration" option in firefox with port 8080. I have tried the option of "Use system proxy settings" but it doesn't help.
