I have used ( msn.com ) as my home page for a number of years now. And suddenly a few days ago i lost it somehow. When I try to go to msn I end up with a total white page with ( www.msn.com) in the address or location bar and (http://www.msn.com/) preceded by the Bing logo in the Tab bar. That is why I say Bing has hijacked my home page. I might add that MSN loads fine on IE. ( I don't like IE ) I have uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. and still have the problem. I have switched my home page option over and back and it works on all except msn.com. Can anyone help ????

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites like msn.com that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
